The mission of Visit Bainbridge Island is to create long term and sustainable economic growth for the Island and its partners through innovative tourism programs, promotions and partnerships to welcome both day and overnight visitors.
We believe travel and tourism are vital to increase understanding and empathy amongst the world’s cultures and that tourism is a vital economic service to both travelers and host cities. Responsible growth of tourism is vital to ensure travel remains accessible while maintaining the island’s natural resources and respecting its residential community.
Travel should be a positive experience for the visitor and the community they are visiting. Fostering education for visitors that include “No Trace Travel,” ensuring natural resources are preserved and the local economy benefits are key to ensuring positive, responsible travel and tourism.

As a private, nonprofit marketing organization, Visit Bainbridge Island’s funding is derived from many sources, including hotel occupancy tax revenue from the City of Bainbridge Island visitors, Visit Bainbridge Island partners, and grants from the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce, Port of Seattle and Washington Tourism Alliance.
