Manor House Concert Series: The Hipocrats

Manor House Concert Series: The Hipocrats

Presented by Pleasant Beach Village at The Manor House at Pleasant Beach

Based out of Seattle, WA, The Hipocrats are helmed by Tyler McGinnis and Sarah Brunner. The two musical dynamos blend hair-raising harmonies, melodies sure to stick in your head for days, and spunky lyrical imagery into their spin on classic Americana music - a can't miss when they're passing through your town.

Drawing inspiration from real-life scenarios with a healthy balance of imaginative liberties, the close friends began an ambitious and energetic songwriting campaign in the fall of 2021. Their whimsical personalities and close bond are on full display both on stage and in their (almost entirely) shared lives.

Hailing from Northern Michigan (Sarah) and Southern California (Tyler), the two planted their Seattle roots in 2017 and quickly immersed themselves in the music scene. It was at The Bourbon Bar open mic in the historic (and sadly, now closed) Columbia City Theatre that the pair first crossed paths. They each spent several years working on their own projects not knowing that their casual friendship would one day be the missing link in each of their lives.

Sarah was the one who made the first move, asking Tyler to collaborate on her most recent single release, "Caravan," after several impromptu jam sessions. Little did they know this would spark a creative renaissance for the two singer-songwriters. Since then, they've been hard at work creating the foundation for their co-founded passion project.

The Hipocrats are now a force to be reckoned with. The two co-songwriters, lead vocalists, and rhythm guitar players have welcomed 2 new supporting band members to round out a 4-piece band. Ruth Navarre (fiddle) and Chris DeFalco (bass) have each contributed their stellar musicianship and natural born talents to give The Hipocrats all the elements needed to be the biggest Americana band that comes out of the Emerald city since The Head & The Heart.

The Hipocrats debut EP "Road to Joy" is out now on all platforms! Tyler and Sarah are embarking on the Road to Joy National Tour (Ruth joining on fiddle from September 10th - October 15th); 80+ shows including the legendary Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, The Saxon Pub in Austin, and a songwriters round in Nashville. Head to www.thehipocrats.com/shows for tour dates!
