NOCCO String Duo

NOCCO String Duo

Presented by Pleasant Beach Village at The Manor House at Pleasant Beach

For too long, classical music has been confined by rigid rules and structures. NOCCO (North Corner Chamber Orchestra) removes those barriers, connecting musicians and audiences through unconducted performances in intimate settings. We put collaboration at the heart of our music-making, resulting in vibrant, high energy performances that are bursting with enthusiasm. Through fun and casual venues, diverse programming, and accommodating ticket pricing, NOCCO seeks to build a concert-going community that includes those new to, or even historically alienated from, orchestral music.

This special showcase highlights principal cellist Eli Weinberger, and violinist/founder Victoria Parker.

Victoria Parker has been featured both as soloist and concertmaster with numerous orchestras across the US. She performs frequently with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera and can be heard on many popular albums and motion picture soundtracks. Her love for collaboration and interest in interdisciplinary arts shapes many of the projects in which she is involved. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Michigan University and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music.

Eli Weinberger holds a B.Mus, M.Mus, and GDPP in Cello Performance from McGill University. While in Montreal, Eli founded the non-profit, professional training orchestra, Pronto Musica, which was the first of its kind in Canada. Now living in Seattle, Eli enjoys an active orchestral performance schedule and teaching studio. Eli has recorded national commercials as well as video game and film scores, and subs with the Seattle Symphony. He can be heard on several Macklemore tracks and has performed with the group live on the Tonight Show. Eli is one of the founding members of NOCCO.
