August 12 - Jane Barton

In the tradition of the early artists of the West, Jane Barton loves to capture the vanishing scene: old cars in Cuba, snow bound aspens in Colorado, colorful old Italian fishing boats, sunsets on the Catalina Mountains near her home in Arizona. Painting constantly “en plein air” was the key to finding the information she needed to move from her early career as an award winning illustrator and graphic designer to her beautiful studio work. She studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, has a B.A. from Boston University and an M.A. in Illustration from Syracuse University School of Visual Arts. https://www.janebartonstudio.com
