A fashion show celebrating reuse and waste reduction for a sustainable future
The Bainbridge Island Trashion Show is a fashion show showcasing chic, theatrical, and wearable garments using recycled materials and repurposed clothes. Its mission is to spread awareness about consumption, recycling, and waste reduction with the ultimate goal of reducing trash headed for the landfill.
The event will take place at Bainbridge Island Hilltop meadow in the Grand Forest. There will be a short hike up to the meadow from parking below at the end of Mandus Olson Road. (ADA parking available at the top near exhibits.) The artists will set up their live model exhibit in a stationary location along the walking meadow loop. Visitors with timed ticket entry will follow the path and view the models, along with interactive educational programming.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and go on sale starting July 1 at bitrashion.org. Entry starts at 1pm until last entry at 3:30pm. The event closes at 4pm. There are a limited number of tickets. A maximum of six may be purchased per person. Prices are $15, $5 for children under 12.
