Live Music at The Marketplace: Manisha Isabella Maru

MANISHA is a jazz-pop artist and singer-songwriter. Filipino-Indian by heritage, Manisha grew up in Manila, Philippines then migrated to Washington, USA where–with the help of her high school’s theater and music technology department–she discovered she could pursue songwriting as a full time career. With an array of influences from Broadway Musicals to Taylor Swift to Jon Bellion to Frank Sinatra, MANISHA’s music gravitates towards storytelling lyrics over pop song forms with a flare of jazz. She released her first single “Cat” in 2021 and is currently working on building her first EP while simultaneously studying Songwriting and Production at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Whether it’s pulling at your heartstrings or making you get up and dance, MANISHA’s music will make you experience colors like you’ve never seen before.
