Learn About Public Speaking with U Speak Easy Toastmasters

We meet in person at the BARN on Bainbridge, and we have remote members who attend by Zoom. This makes our club the perfect place to improve public speaking skills – especially if you want to learn both the art and the technology of presenting your best self both in person and on video! Newcomers are always welcome. Would improved speaking skills help you reach your goals? Would you like to develop leadership skills? Prepare for a book tour? Pitch your startup? Influence public policy? Or would you simply like to feel more relaxed speaking at social and community events. At U Speak Easy, you’ll meet others who are also seeking to improve and gain confidence. We learn by doing, and by receiving constructive feedback. Current club members range from beginners to veteran public speakers who provide guidance alongside Toastmasters International’s proven training materials.

We meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 7:15 – 8:3o pm. We feature two prepared speeches, lasting five to seven minutes each, followed by impromptu speaking opportunities. Together, we make it fun to develop our skills. All club members are volunteers at this non-profit organization with deep roots in the community, built over the past two decades. We come from all walks of life. U Speak Easy is a member club of Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development for almost 100 years. Our global membership is 280,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 13,500 clubs in 116 countries that make up this global network.
