2022 BYS FUN RUN

The BYS Fun Run is back for in-person fun running!
And, it’s our 60th birthday! Celebrate with us!
The BYS Fun Run is back! An island tradition for 43 years, we invite out to come out for the BYS Fun Run and to help us celebrate our 60th birthday! Kick-off your 4th of July celebration by getting out with your friends and neighbors and having fun, all while supporting youth mental health.

All of your favorites are back: the 5K, the 1 Mile, and the Kids Dash for kids under 7. We will have chip timing for the 5K and 1 Mile races and, of course, the iconic BYS Fun Run t-shirt too. All proceeds from the Fun Run benefit BYS and our mission to support youth mental health and well-being in our community.

Register now! Once again, you can ask those who can’t participate to sponsor you or your team to help support BYS programming.

Registration includes your race bib and a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available while supplies last so pick up your gear early to ensure you get a shirt and beat the crowds.

Events
1 Mile – A fun, less challenging route for people of all ages and abilities to run or walk starting and ending in downtown Winslow.

5K – A fun, but challenging run or walk around the central core of Bainbridge Island.

Kids Dash – For kids up to 7.  Not just a dash but multiple activities including obstacles, running, jumping and other surprises.  Kids will be grouped by age.

Registration
For the 5K and 1 Mile events, online registration starts May 15th and ends at 8:30 a.m. on July 4th.

For the Kids Dash, registration starts May 15th and ends at 10:00 a.m. on July 4th.

Entrance Fees
Entrance fees go directly to BYS to support its mission of supporting youth mental health in the community. The Fun Run is one of BYS’ largest fundraisers each year.

Before July 1st, 5K and 1 Mile events are $30 per participant; Kids Dash is $15 per participant.

Starting July 1st and later, 5K and 1 Mile events are $40 per participant; Kids Dash is $20 per participant.

5K and 1 Mile registrations include a bib with chip timing and an iconic BYS Fun Run commemorative t-shirt while supplies last. Kids Dash registrations include a bib and the iconic BYS Fun Run t-shirt while supplies last.

The Routes and Race Start Times
1 Mile – Begins at 9:00 a.m. in front of Sweet Deal on Winslow Way.

5K – Begins at 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Bjune.

Kids Dash – Begins at 10:30 a.m. on Winslow Green, at the corner of Winslow Way and Madison Avenue. Kids will be grouped by age.
