Blue Whale Sail

WE BEGIN OUR TRIP IN EITHER SEATTLE OR BAINBRIDGE ISLAND…YOUR CHOICE.

We are based out of Bainbridge Island and most often begin our sails from here. However, for an additional $200 we are also able to pick our guests in Seattle at the Bell Harbor Marina and begin our sail from there. Getting to Bainbridge from Seattle involves a short ferry ride from the Seattle Ferry Terminal to Bainbridge Island. Cars and walk-ons are both welcome on the ferry.

BUILDING A PACKAGE

While we offer packages we also recognize that each person or group may have different ideas about what makes for the perfect sail so we are happy to accommodate most requests. We can setup custom sail packages for corporate events, exec training, team building or more relaxing get aways from just one to a maximum of 6 guests on the boat. We are able to provide food and alcohol (beer or wine) at an additional fee on top of your sail package. We specialize in dinner cruises and fresh authentically northwest cuisine all while you sail.

FOOD & WINE

One of the elements which makes Blue Whale Sail unique is our wine & food options for which we are licensed to sell onboard. We offer an amazing array of wine choices and leverage Janaea’s (co-owner) many years in the wine industry to create pairings as well as find those hard to get bottles for special occasions. Our food packages range from small plates, to picnic packages all the way to a private chef onboard for those special occasions. We offer most food and wine packages as add-ons when adding sail packages to your cart but are happy to customize a package for you. Just call us and we can make something special!

PHOTOGRAPHY

For some of our most special events such as proposals, weddings or anniversary dinners, we offer on-board photography with our photography partner Green Room Photography, also located on Bainbridge Island. Their packages vary and they will discuss pricing with you depending on the event and duration but they know the boat very well and have consistently produced amazing photos of some of the most special of occasions. OVERNIGHT AND LONG DISTANCE CRUISES

We offer overnight accomodations for our dinner guests right on the boat or if you are booking a longer passage to the San Juans or a distance that will require an overnight stay. Inquire with us about specific details of those packages.

SAILING INSTRUCTION & TRAINING

Our captains are certified 100 ton captains and as such have a wealth of experience both sailing and teaching. We are always happy to let our guests try their hand as some basics, but also offer custom sailing instruction packages for singles or couples who want to learn more about how it works and prepare for some of their own voyages.
